• Kenya Drought Response Cash Transfer Program: SWT worked with local communities in Archers Post, Samburu East sub-county, to identify SGBV victims and support them at the household level by advocating cash transfers with the help of Oxfam to enhance their livelihood and that of their dependents. We worked with the duty bearers (chiefs, sub chiefs, Community Health Volunteers, and hospital managers) in Samburu County to promote both preventive and responsive mechanisms to SGBV, as well as reinforced techniques aimed at SGBV reduction.   • Supporting Vulnerable Communities Affected By Covid-19 Pandemic: Kenya reported the first case of Coronavirus Disease on March 12, 2020. Immediately following this, the government, county governments, faith-based organizations, nonprofit organizations, and the media launched an aggressive pandemic awareness and prevention campaign. SWT distributed PPEs and food to vulnerable families in Northern Kenya in collaboration with FIMI, PARAN, CJRF, and Defenders Coalition. Other non-state actors also attended the event.   • Safeguarding Rights of GBV Survivors During Covid-19 to Access Justice: Gender Based Violence continues to be a major challenge among women and girls in Indigenous communities. SWT with support from UNDP, Amkeni Wakenya and European Union engaged communities on strengthening access to justice and legal assistance through application of alternative justice systems (AJS) and formal court processes.   • Community Awareness & Sensitization on Covid 19: In partnership with UNDP,  Amkeni Wakenya and European Union we launched the Covid-19 sensitization campaign in the Northern Kenya counties aimed at increasing awareness of the new developments in the spread of the virus.
