Our Story
We are an indigenous women-led network of indigenous women advancing women and girls rights among indigenous communities, for decade we have been on frontline advocating inclusiveness and effective participation of indigenous women and girls in decision making processes at all levels. The organization strengthens the capacity of women and girls to influence policies, increase voices and leadership.
It is also the convenor of Indigenous Women Council (IWC), a national Network of Indigenous women with more than 120 women led institutions, networks and individual Activist that influence voice and leadership of indigenous women; policy and advocacy; and capacity building of indigenous women for shared prosperity and growth. The objective of the network is to promote common grounds with shared goals between women's and girls networks at grassroots level and other social movements so that women and girls can act as watchdogs in their respective communities as well as advocating for the rights of women and girls in their society.
