Indigenous communities are on the frontlines of climate change, facing disrupted livelihoods, erosion of traditional knowledge, and an increase in humanitarian challenges. Alongside this, indigenous women and girls face heightened risks of Gender-Based Violence, leaving them with physical, emotional, and economic scars. Despite these challenges, communities are rising with resilience—actively leading locally driven initiatives to safeguard their way of life.

Samburu Women Trust (SWT) responds to these realities by mobilizing resources and channeling them to grassroots initiatives. We believe that sustainable change is only possible when resources are placed directly in the hands of indigenous women, youth, people with disabilities, and community-led groups.
