Naramat Indigenous Women Arboretum:

A living sanctuary — a place where nature, culture, and womanhood meet.

Support Naramat

Rooted in the wisdom of our ancestors, Naramat serves as a knowledge holder for Indigenous peoples, where sacred plants of medicinal value and traditional healing are preserved and passed down from generation to generation.

A Knowledge Holder for Indigenous Peoples

More than an arboretum, Naramat is a revitalization centre for Indigenous languages and traditions — a space where stories are spoken in native tongues, songs are sung again, and cultural memory is restored. It is also a safe and healing space for Indigenous women to gather, share, and support one another in sisterhood and strength.

Within Naramat stands an Indigenous Women’s Museum to honour and preserve our rich heritage, and a Leadership and Research Centre where women learn, innovate, and lead on climate solutions and the protection of Traditional Knowledge.

Naramat is the spirit of continuity — where the wisdom of the past nurtures the leaders of tomorrow.
