ABOUT

Several girls in pastoralist communities are exploited, abused, and discriminated. They need special protection to promote their physical, physiological, spiritual, moral, and social development. These children include girls between the ages of (9-15years) who suffer from beading practices, Female Genital Mutilation, forced child marriages, children affected by sexually exploited resulting to crude abortion, infanticide, as well as children living with disabilities, or suffering from discrimination because of outcast cultural beliefs in the society. It is because of the unique vulnerability of indigenous girls and women that their rights are of priority concern within SWT aspirations and work in advancing girls rights, focuses on the need of special protection measures for girls and women.
